Today marked the first day at my first squadron during this rotational period. It's at Murai Camp - the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) Squadrons. I practically did NOTHING today. Jinping and I arrived at 0730, and were held up at the gate till 0800 because we didn't have clearance to enter the damn place. GAH. Then they told us that the people who were supposed to give us the briefings were at some ops meeting and would be late. SO, we went for breakfast with Lta Kelvin till like, 9, and rotted in the Syndicate Room till about 1030 before the officers came. We were literally STUCK in that tiny room for the whole day cos we wouldn't wanna walk around since we're like not familiar with the place.
Then in the afternoon, Murai hosted the Temasek Seminar and I met Charmaine and Sharon Chin. Shared a bit about my BMT experience, and about my scholarship with the NJ IP3s and some RJ people. We felt so.. old. In the past it used to be us in their shoes, asking people questions, and now the very same questions we asked are thrown back to us. It's a very mixed feeling, knowing how far you've come since a year ago, but yet also realising that there's a lot of things you're still ignorant about and you've still got a lot to learn.
Was really sleeeepy when I got back home, but I got a call from him (: Apparently, while they were at fieldcamp waiting for Ex Nightbird to start, Adrian just suddenly thrust him his handphone and went "You know what to do." Despite him saying that it wasn't necessary, Adrian kept insisting and he called while HIDING BEHIND A BUSH OMG. Good time for practice of cover & concealment huh? Anyway that call really made my day cos it was a very pleasant surprise, although we both reached the consensus that we shouldn't talk for too long cos as a cadet, he shouldn't be taking advantage of all these little privileges. Nevertheless, I'm a happyhappy girl. -beams-
Oh, I'm sure most of you have heard about the whole fiasco about a local business school. That absolutely ludicrous video that's been circulating on Youtube. I don't know the origins of this video, so if anyone knows, please let me know! I don't know whether to smack my forehead and groan or to break into peals of laughter cos it's just so.. UNBELIEVABLE.
